My name is Nkechinyere Abani, known to many as NK. I am a black female photographer and owner/director of Nk Abani Photography Ltd.

I specialise in Wedding and Portraiture photography and run photo workshops. 

After graduating from University with a (2:1) Extended Photography degree, I found it very difficult to find my footing in the photography industry. I was a freelance photographer for several years, working for smaller brands and featured monthly in Black Hair magazine for 2 years before deciding to start my own business to create my own opportunities. 

I set up Nk Abani Photography in 2015 and have had the opportunity to be featured in a number of publications such as the Metro, Bellanaija Weddings, The Voice newspaper, Black Beauty & Hair and The Stage online. 

I never envisioned myself being a photographer 12 years ago when I started, but I couldn't think of doing anything else now.
